Aside from the financial savings, the advantage of prosumer equipment is it’s portability.

Smaller cameras can be more easily planted throughout the venue on autopilot, hidden in corners so as not to disrupt the ambiance of your event. With a professional leica dicomar lens and 3CCD colour processor, a prosumer camcorder is more than you need when targeting the internet or television.

For more serious applications targeting the big screen, high definition equipment is available. We place great emphasis on pre-production but with several years of shooting documentaries, I am agile enough to make the best of what cannot be rehearsed.

Filming
From VHS to high 8 to MiniDV to BetaCam to Hardisk, that’s how long I have been handling a camera. Knowing how to point and shoot is one thing but knowing lighting and angles is another. The production phase of your project is seen as the most important part of the process and it begins with proper pre-planning. Trust an experienced cinematographer to sort out those subtle details that make your video the best that it can be.

Video Editing
Whether your project calls for digital compositing or straight cuts I’ve got you covered. I have produced wedding videos, live concert videos, demo reels, feature films and tv commercials. What separates me from the other editors? My sense of timing is musical… I unlike many have terrific rhythm and that’s what makes the best punch lines… timing.

DVD Authoring
Prosumer software programs such as iDVD provide menu templates where you can customize the background image, chapters and button styles. What they do not provide are advanced capabilities such as subtitles, keyframes and custom menus. If you need to have your project manufactured I can arrange short-run duplication with one of my partners.

The MMA Expo is back!

Coming to Toronto June 12th and 13th, the MMA Expo brings the world’s finest fighters, instructors and athletes under one roof at the International Centre. The video above is a compilation of 2 shows I cut together using my own original theme song (an instrumental packed with midi hits and apple loops).

The expo is now it’s in 5th year and has branched out to Philidelphia, Vancouver, Montreal, and Atlantic city, all since it’s inception here in Toronto back in 2005. I am pleased to present a 30 second commercial I produced for the MMA Expo which is to be aired on the Fight Network throughout the end of May and early June leading up to the event.

30 Second Commercial

There will be auditions to join some of the most notorious fight teams in the world for submission wrestling including but not limited to “Paradise Warriors” and “Abudabi”. I myself will put the gloves back on since my last bout in 2005 for the Ontario Championships and be contending for the light weight division in Sport Jiu Jitsu.

I urge you to come to the event not only to shake hands with celebrity fighters but to cheer me on as I step into the ring with other wannabe fighters

We are pleased to announce our first licensing deal. It was a Thursday afternoon when we got the call, it was a plea for help to piece together a 30 second commercial. They had no footage and no music… just a script written as a voice over.

No problem, let’s pop in a 30 second clip of instrumental music… how about “Disappear” by Christien Paul? Let’s make some titles, animate them to the beat of the music while narrating the voice over. Final touch… logo!

What did we get? Take a look, tt’s being aired on iChannel across the nation next week. Watch for it online and on television. Festival starts Oct 1st, 2009!
